Jacquard Print
Sometimes you just need to put on a gorgeous dress with an enormous skirt and strut your stuff! That’s how I felt about this dress from Chicwish. Btw, this photo sesh was shot at The Barnes Museum and I received tons of compliments in between shots! This dress runs small (I’m wearing a medium here) so be sure to go up one size. Also, the top is a bit tight, so I would not recommend for anyone who is a large C cup or larger (I’m a small B cup and the top fit me perfectly). Here are my favorite jacquard print dresses this season:
How to Wear: Because the print is bold, I would not suggest wearing a necklace. Keep the accessories classic such as a simple pair with pearl earrings, layering rings, or watch, and closed toe shoes in a neutral color (<– these are so classic and come in a TON of colors!). A nude clutch also works well here!
Sequin Jumpsuit
I love a good jumpsuit and I’ve been seeing sequin jumpsuits like these all over Instagram and Pinterest – they’re so fun! I’d recommend one that is fitted through the torso with wide legs as it creates the most flattering silhouette.
How to Wear: Again, the jewelry should be minimal. Pair with a simple rhinestone necklace, earrings (<– love these!), and scrappy nude or black shoes.
Velvet Tops & Dresses
Another big trend this season is velvet. You can go with the classic black, or you can jazz it up a bit by wearing velvet in a vibrant color like some of the styles below!
How to Wear: Look for stone or gem accessories, as they provide the best texture contract with velvet. Velvet tops look great when paired with dark wash, black jeans, or a simple black skirt. For shoes, leather booties if you’re wearing jeans are a great look. For dresses, look for strappy heels to contrast with all that velvet.
